Art Therapy Express Program, Inc. (ATE) is a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space for children and adults with multiple, mild to severe disabilities to express themselves freely through the medium of art. With strong university and college internship support, we provide creative and social opportunities for students with and without disabilities to create understanding, awareness, and respect. ATE classes are designed exclusively to support all individuals with emotional, intellectual, and / or physical disabilities through the use of adaptive technologies and empowerment through creativity. ATE shapes an attitude of problem solving and critical thinking to support participants’ development of projects and artistic ability. ATE remains dedicated to building a bridge between each student’s capabilities and his or her imagination and to provide a place where even nonverbal individuals are able to speak through his/her art.
