Sponsor Description: 

The Sports Equity Lab, founded and directed by Dr. Yetsa Tuakli-Wosornu of Yale School of Medicine, is a consortium of physicians, engineers, and activists who are dedicated to expanding access to sports for persons with disabilities, particularly in underserved areas. The lab has an ongoing partnership with NGOs in Ghana to design and manufacture custom wheelchairs made from bamboo. In addition to being sustainably sourced, bamboo wheelchairs provide economic opportunities for local manufacturers.
