Abbott is a US-headquartered multinational company with a 130 year history of innovation in healthcare. Abbott produces a wide array of medical devices, diagnostic equipment, medicines, and nutritional products sold in 160 companies worldwide. This project is supported by the structural heart division of Abbott, which is responsible for developing transformative medical devices for cardiac and vascular conditions. Their product portfolio includes surgical and minimally invasive devices for structural heart interventions (plugs for the left atrial appendage, etc.) valve replacement (aortic, mitral, and tricuspid), valve repair (mitral and tricuspid), and over 80 novel, lifechanging devices and therapeutics.
