Amber Young is the Vice President of Technical Services at Pepco Holdings. She began her career at PSEG Nuclear, where she worked as a Valve Engineer, and then as a Breaker Engineer. She transitioned to Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI), where she worked as an Engineer in the Transmission Planning Department, supporting Delmarva Power. She then worked in the Planning and System Operations Departments supporting PHI Affiliates, Delmarva Power, and Atlantic City Electric, before her promotion to Vice President. As Vice President of Technical Services, Amber is responsible for the development and monitoring of projects and budget associated with the Capacity Expansion capital plan to ensure transmission system reliability consistent with PJM, NERC and FERC criteria.

A native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, Amber Young obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
