Sponsor Description: 

NASA is returning to the Moon bigger and better than ever with the Artemis program architecture that encompasses many different aspects of human and robotic exploration of the lunar surface with heavy emphasis on landed missions including rovers. A supporting mission of the Artemis program is the Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) which will be NASA’s first robotic rover for lunar surface operations. VIPER will be exploring the lunar South Pole, a lunar highlands region, and collecting ground truth data regarding the existence of water lunar surface which has been indicated from several orbital missions.
