Students in the College of Engineering have the opportunity to participate in the RISE Program, a unique opportunity for students to gain support, build community, and access a broad network of professional and academic mentors.
The RISE Program: Celebrating 50 Years
Being in a new environment can be difficult. Can you remember a time when you were in a new place? What helped you feel more comfortable?
Being a new student on an unfamiliar campus can be difficult. The RISE Program, as part of our 50th anniversary, will once again provide students with a summer bridge program to ease the transition of being a first-year College of Engineering student. The RISE Academy is a 5-week residential program. Students will earn up to 7 academic credits that will count toward their degree.
Students join the RISE community early and enhance their study skills to prepare them for the rigors of the academic year. Past participants formed friendships with classmates that have continued well past graduation.
