Endothelial cells were cultured in a 100 micrometer diameter channel created in a collagen gel. Cells were stained for nuclei with Hoechst (magenta), and actin with rhodamine phalloidin (white). These in vitro blood vessel models will help us to study cancer metastasis, or circulating tumor cell movement from the circulatory system into a secondary tissue.
