Vascular Crossroads
Brightfield Microscopy – N/A – Square Image
Our lab has the ability to model vascular processes in vitro, and to use these models to better understand various disease processes, including the metastatic cascade, by creating small diameter (10-20 μm) microfluidic networks within hydrogels using laser-based hydrogel degradation. These channels support endothelial (or vascular) cell growth and allow us to study the impact of fluid flow on endothelial cell behavior. Four copies of the same image have been rotated and overlaid to make the image you see here.
