An eye of a growing mouse embryo E12.5 . Red represents the growing lens fiber cells elongating to fill the lens vesicle (round blue dots/nuclei closest to the red). Red is stained with Tdrd7, an important protein for lens development in which absence or mutation lead to cataract in newborns. Blue is DAPI, nuclei staining.
