Studying sandstone erosion, this image features Upper Antelope Canyon, known to the Navajo has “Tsé Bighánílíní”, which means ‘the place where water runs through rocks’. Antelope Canyon was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone. The layers of rock exposed by the erosion are a window into Earth’s history and are heavily studied by scientists.
